MSNBC host David Shuster, who usually touts the liberal line on "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue," filled in on Monday's "Countdown With Keith Olbermann" and came to Barack Obama's defense against comments made by Dick Cheney. Shuster played a clip of Sunday's "60 Minutes," where the President responded to allegations by the former Vice President that he is making the country less safe. The cable host asked guest and Huffington Post blogger Lawrence O'Donnell, "Basically, Obama is saying Cheney claims the founding fathers and American principles that were forged during wartime are failures. Is the President flirting here with calling Cheney un-American?"
Earlier in the segment, the liberal anchor editorialized about Bush: "If the absurdity of the administration that let down its guard on 9/11 lecturing anyone about safety was not enough for you, in our number three story tonight, Mr. Obama hits back." After O'Donnell summarized Obama's argument, that institutions such as Guantanamo Bay have made America less safe, Shuster followed up with a "quick hypothetical." If Cheney keeps up his attack, the host mused, "At what point does President Obama say, 'Okay, you want to debate your tactics? I'll send my attorney general over with a subpoena'?"

Cheney knows where the bodies are buried.
So yeah. Go ahead and subpoena him.
Me? I can’t wait till he writes his book.
Mmmmmm—boy!
Under what theory of law would the President of the United States have the authority to subpoena anybody?
Shuster’s wet dream communist law
What is Shuster thinking? Obama’s appproval/disapproval is now at 50/50, an all-time low (and going much loooooooooower).
The left claims that the founders were evil white men because they supported freedom from government interference.
Any investigation of the Bush Administration reveals too many policies, like the rendition program or contracting private security contractors (Blackwater), that were inherited from the Clinton's.
When will traitors like Shuster get jailed?
Better approach would be for some Pro-American group to subpoena Obama and ask why he is trying to destroy America. And be sure it is on all stations.
He's a journalist, for crying out loud. From NBC.
So why would you think he's had the equivalent of a high school civics course?
David Shuster was fired from FoxNews in February 2002. FoxNews reported after Shuster started badmouthing the FoxNews network from his new digs on the ever-so-last-in-the-ratings MSNBC that Shuster had been fired after he failed to heed a number of verbal warnings about his rotten attitude, calling him “disgruntled and bitter.”
From the Washington Post, Oct 10, 2005 http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/10/09/AR2005100901551_2.html:
Fox executives say Shuster was regarded as a problem employee who tried to undermine his colleagues, sometimes in personal ways, and is bitter over being let go. Shuster says he had friction with some staffers because he “spoke up to management” about what he saw as “ethical lapses.”
“Fox’s characterization of me as a disgruntled, bitter employee is just a pack of lies,” he says. “I was happy to leave Fox News. It was a mutual decision.”
Not so, says Brit Hume, Fox’s Washington managing editor: “We decided not to renew his contract. It was not a mutual decision.”
9/11 happened only 8 months into the Bush presidency, which means almost all of the planning for it was accomplished during the Clinton administration, right?
I call him “Dead Eyes” becuase there is no happiness or humor in that soul and you can see it....he is a miserable person.
Dr. Piss,
Are you trying to raise my blood pressure? The primary and election was enough.
Your older, much poorer and overly stressed buddy,
NC1984
If what Obama is saying is true about Cheney then that is DOUBLESPEAK by Obama
