UK scientists plan a major research project to see if synthetic human blood can be made from embryonic stem cells.
Led by the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, the three year trial could provide an unlimited supply of blood for emergency transfusions.
The blood should be free of infections like the human form of mad cow disease.
Teams will test human embryos left over from IVF treatment to find those destined to develop into the universal "O-negative" blood donor group.

I’d rather die than receive such blood.

It begins ladies and gentleman. Soon there will be “embryo” factories to supply the necessary material for such project. Fertility clinics can only provice so much material, they’ll have to INDUSTRIALIZE THE PROCESS.
Time to rev up the clones, just like in the Star Wars movies.

I heard a radio news story about this today. It concluded by noting that America could have won this race two years ago, but research on embryonic stem cells was halted by a policy of the Bush administration.
I will bet you that in 3 months, a very small article will be published saying that the project did not work and any release will be delayed as research continues, cause once again, there are no cures from dead babies.

One wonders what the veracity of the plague of tumors that our Creator would cast upon us should we pursue this Obamanation would be.

"I will bet you that in 3 months, a very small article will be published saying that the project did not work and any release will be delayed as research continues, cause once again, there are no cures from dead babies."Followed shortly by yet an even smaller article noting that the recent paradigm breakthrough in Adult Stem Cell pluripotency have allowed ASC researchers -- working with a fraction of the money their ESC colleagues waste -- to create your own limitless supply of blood. Cheap.

I have been to several TON concerts and have had them sign my CDs. Peter is hilarious even talks in that scary baritone.
But that was years ago when they where touring with Life Of Agony.

Considering that the outcome of the use of fetal cells in animals and humans thus far has been cancer, your premise is possible.

This isn’t synthetic/fake blood as the article states. This is real human blood from real human stem cells.
