That would be assuming he didn't know who France's President is, which we all know he did. Do we recall the reaction Zero got from Sarkozy while campaigning there. Do we recall the look on Sarkozy’s face?? Pure disgust.
Not to mention Sarkozy himself has been in contact with Zero, looking forward to meeting with him, for months.
Sorry, I do not buy he didn't know.
