I'd try to explain the idiocy of accusing those of us that voted for McCain over obama...but, it would zoom right over your head. It does however require one loving country more than ideology... never mind, as I said before, "You just don't have the capacity to grasp it." Sad.
DA-DA-DA-DA “You are a great American” Hannity flag waving , “Only we RINOs have the country’s best interest at heart, not you conservatives/independents and not average dem voters, only us”
A liberal coworker accused republicans (to me) of the same thing a few minutes ago, because we don't support Obama’s plans that are going bad. As much as I dislike Bush, I reminded him that is how democrats won two elections, staying on his case every second blaming him for everything. He said that was different.
Ceding control to "moderates" and RINOs like McCain is not an act of love for your country. It's a last act of desperation.
Bush's false (yet "compassionate") conservatism severely damaged the Republican Party's brand and credibility. Further blows from McCain might have destroyed it outright.
In any case, you only would have bought some time at the expense of the most prominent and best-positioned political mechanism to advance the conservative agenda. And then we would have Obama, or Hillary, or somebody just as bad, except without any opposition at all.
