The Obama administration will call for increased oversight of executive pay at all banks, Wall Street firms and possibly other companies as part of a plan to overhaul financial regulation, the New York Times reported.

This is possibly targeted at companies not taking bail-out money.
all “publicly traded” companies
buh bye Miss American pie
COMMUNISM...
We all feel it in the air. I believe this is why gun and ammo sales are through the roof, we just know things are not right.
It's the precursor to controlling the pay of nurses, doctors, anyone associated with "health care", electricians, plumbers, truck drivers, etc. Once they get control of the higher ups they WILL come after anyone that takes federal money in any way.
Oh, the one exemption will be lawyers.
I demand Oprah and the Hollyweird community start spreading the wealth now. They make money for nothing and it is high time they PAY UP and they can pay for it all. We’re waiting, 0bama! A Republican needs to introduce a bill like that and take 0bama and the hypocrites on.
Down with capitalist pigs.
Possibly? HAH! The communists will try to control everything they can get their hands on.
If they anounce there is a specific area they will not touch you can bet it is because they have calculated they can not get their way there.
How ‘bout autoworker labor unions who benefit from bailouts? Or union teachers? Or “green job” firms? Or college professors who receive government grants? Or heck, let’s just have government set a “maximum wage” for all jobs!
“Oh, the one exemption will be lawyers””
One other exception, entertainers.
But this targets even those companies that do not take any federal money. The AIG frenzy was a set up for further caps on exective pay. If they get away with this, there will be no stopping it.
TYRANT ALERT!!!!! DICTATOR ALERT!!!!
Americans do NOT want to see Govt. regulated Salaries.
BANKRUPTCY regulates Salaries that are too high....except when the Govt. steps in and screws around.
KEEPA YOU HANDS OFFA.
What I am saying is that any entity that takes ANY federal dollars whether through grants, loans or subsidy will be controlled. Even if you take one dollar they will claim the right to regulate your pay. Also, watch for the tax structure to change to include tax rebates as "receiving federal money" thereby falling under aegis of this.
The 0bama socialist train rolls on...and rolls over the foundation of the US Constitution, the freedoms of the American people, and the future of this grand experiment.
This man is dangerous; more dangerous than many can imagine. And, he has only just begun...
It’s time to take back the country.
Well, they want the only sure path to The Millionaire’s Club is through government “service”, aka being a politician. Remember both Obamas have publicly discouraged citizens from going into lucrative private careers.
Hmmmm..... Maybe. The other one of course will be politicians.
Let see him slap Bruce Springsteen with a 100% tax rate, then he can live like the dustbowl Oakie he likes to pretend he is.
yes, the cost of movie tickets is through the roof! I demand a cap on pay for Hollywood actors, producers. and directors! You owe it to my family! Spread the wealth!
besides, Hollywood got bail-out money ... they been pwned
(Next- caps on saalries for professional sports- poor families should be able to buy tx to the games, front row. And no more luxury boxes)
I am being sarcastic but—does anyone else see the near total collapse of our economy and soon thanks to OBAMA
Does this apply to P Diddy, Ludacris, Kobe Bryant, Eminem, 50 cent, Lebron James
I somehow don’t believe he will be putting any limitations on the above. Neither will he go after Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt et al.
If this isn’t unconstitutional it should be.
Why target “Bailout” companies but not subsidized companies and/or industries? Answer: there is no real reason or difference and it’s only a matter of time before they determine all to be limited.
The marce against freedom continues
