Mo Wiley, 32, of Oakland, said emotions still are raw from the Grant shooting.
“Oakland is a beautiful place,” Wiley said. “But I just hate when it gets ugly like this.”
Tension between police and the community has risen steadily since the fatal shooting of unarmed 22-year-old Oscar Grant by a transit police officer at an Oakland train station on Jan. 1.
That former Bay Area Rapid Transit officer, Johannes Mehserle, has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday. Violent protests erupted on the streets of Oakland in the weeks after Grant’s death, further inflaming tensions.
On Saturday afternoon, about 20 people taunted police near the scene of the first shooting.

I have flagged this YouTube video — it’s disgusting. Hopefully YouTube will pull it — if not, we might want to see if StarCMC is interested in running a Special Op — just this once — and get the rest of her team involved.
Askari X is a rather famous rapper from the Oakland, CA. Bay Area. He made a big bang with his controversial song released while locked up in prison, “Ward of the State.” He leans toward hard, “violent if necessary” black-power messages with Islamic tendencies. He has worked with artists such as Dead Prez and Tajai from the Hieroglyphics.

When I did a search on Lovelle Mixon, I got an article about the shooting that claimed there were at least 20 people taunting the police officers at the scene of the first shooting and that the local ministers were meeting at the hospital and planned to plead with the parishioners to stop the violence and not let this turn into a war zone.
Video flagged.
