Team Obama Thinks Just Like Him

Although Charles Freeman is no longer to become chairman of the National Intelligence Council, disturbing questions raised by his aborted appointment remain. Freeman, a veteran Arabist who blamed 9/11 in part upon America's poliicy towards Israel was forced out over concerns about his financial links to the Chinese and Saudi regimes and his support for the Chinese crackdown at Tiananmen Square and his dismissal of Tibetan protests against Chinese oppression as a "race riot." And Freeman's ravings about a Zionist conspiracy were not the views of a solitary crackpot. The big question is how the Director of National Intelligence, Dennis Blair, could have supported such a man - and what this tells us about Obama's attitude to the Middle East. To date, Obama has remeined dismayingly silent about Freeman's repugnant and hateful views. The Obama administration intends to pressure Israel to make yet further concessions. Hence the appointment of the appeasement-minded George Mitchell as Middle East envoy. Instead of regarding Israel as a key ally in the wider defence of America and the free world, the Obama administration views its desire to desire to defend itself against its mortal enemies as an infernal nuisance to be overcome.

Is Obama an anti-Semite, just anti-Israel, or both? It's certainly not politically correct to raise that question but Obama's familial and personal ties to Muslims should be remembered. After his "conversion," he sat for twenty years and listened (approvingly) to the anti-Semitic screeds of Pastor Wright. The Chicago real estate swindler Tony Rezko was a colleague and friend from whom he personally profited by getting a "deal" on the purchase of land for his house. What was overshadowed by that scandal is that Rezko is a Syrian and an Islamist. Obama's ties to so-called "black Muslims," including such notorious racists, hate-mongers and anti-Semites as Louis Farrakhan, are not isolated and happenstance associations but clearly part of a dubious pattern. Obama's recent "sucking up" to Iran is a part of this syndrome. For whatever reason, the Obama administration seems determined to undermine Israel - our ally and a democracy - surrounded by failed Islamofascist states.

his support for the Chinese crackdown at Tiananmen Square

What kind of person support that?

Certainly not anyone in a position of responsibility.

As one raised by Islamic anti-American parents, Obama was indoctrinated his entire childhood and teenhood with anti-Israel propaganda, both consciously and subconsciously.

Considering the fact that a son or daughter almost always follows in his or her parents footsteps once the child becomes an adult, Obama is now entering that psychological stage where he subconsciously wants the approval and adoration of his father, even though he never even knew his father.

Thus Obama is acting out his anti-Israeli anti-west destiny ... the destiny he believes his father demands he embrace.

I fear for this world with Obama as US leader.

I truly believe our Republic might well be lost before its citizens finally realize the true nature of the Marxist who is in the process of gaining increasingly dangerous power as its President.

God save the United States of America !

Freeman, a veteran Arabist

Just not so. Freeman's only assignment to the Middle East was as ambassador to Saudi Arabia for 3 years. He spent most of his career in East Asia. He does not speak Arabic.

He's a traitor, as are all the enemies of this nation who have infiltrated the government and are finding office within Obama's regime.

Any other nation would be under control of a temporary military government under marshal law as the infiltrators were rounded up and executed.

"we the people" seem to be incapable, despite our "well armed militia," of keeping our government under control and adhering to the constitution which they are supposed to operate within.

I think that’s a good assessment. I’m not qualified to explore all the psychological nuances but I’ve had enough practical experience with people to recognize the recipe for insecurity and the sub-rational dynamics involved. His mother was clearly a loose cannon emotionally and they were both abandoned by the husband/father. The fact that outwardly Obama seems so calm and “cool” doesn’t at all refute what is clearly an internal reality.

I think you may be right about that. My concern is that most of the damage he’ll do - along with the Democratic Congress - may be irreversible regardless of what the next few elections bring.

My guess is that Phillips was referring to his very long and close ties to Arabia unofficially, not just in terms of public office.

I think it might be more a case of ignorance - just not knowing the basics of American or Western history. Maybe some stupidity, too! But, whatever, we’re paying for it!

He certainly is not an Arabist in the traditional usage of the term, especially within the State Department.

I agree with that. Perhaps Phillips, as a citizen of the U.K., is not familiar with the all the minute distinctions made by Foggy Bottom. But, in spirit, I think she’s right that in asserting that his many dubious financial and networking connections with the Saudi (read Wahabbi Islam) regime and anti-Israeli clandestine groups make a valid point.
