Was he the guy who raved on the food the Japanese had brought him and asked the name of the "gourmet" restaurant, when it was in fact ordinary Japanese fast food from across the street?

I really do not remember that part but I think I will search through my many book boxes and read it again.

I enjoy quite a bit of Japanese food, especially since my wife is half Japanese and a really fine cook. I don't do uncooked seafood though.

I will on occasion. It's kind of like eggs over easy or rare steak- I enjoy it but I do worry.

I'd like to someday try those french fried eels I've heard about.
