Job ain’t done. We are about 60% in Afghanistan and about 80% in Iraq. Still have to stand up armies from the locals in Iraq and get them off our teat. Things are going good though. Taliban are causing trouble in Afghanistan though it’s going to take some more sweat and blood to finish the job.
“Job aint done. We are about 60% in Afghanistan and about 80% in Iraq.”
I was addressing Iraq. And we ARE done. The advisory capacity of the military from this point will not have a military mission...the Iraquis are in charge now...if they decide to war against each other, that is not on us and we have no place in it...as for Afghanistan, we SHOULD be done with everything but high altitude carpet bombing of the poppy fields, base camps and the odd fly over by the drones to snuff out any al queda that poke their heads up...
Why the need to have troops on the ground in Afghanistan is, if you’ll pardon the expression used by our Crackhead in Chief, “above my paygrade” but I think we are NUTS to pursue a ground war on that moonscape against the Taliban on their War Camels...
