Just a question for anyone that might know.

If Hussein agreed to some type of International treaty banning firearms, or “assault weapons” specifically; if the treaty were ratified by simple majority of the Senate, would that not make the treaty the law in our country regardless of the Constitutionality of such a measure?

No, the Constitution trumps treaties.

The Supreme Court would have to rule that the Second Amendment doesn’t mean what it says to make a treaty banning guns enforceable.

They plan on passing the assault weapons ban again though, obviously the courts never overturned that.
