Another marriage measure cleared for Calif.

SACRAMENTO -- The sponsors of a second ballot measure seeking to repeal California's ban on same-sex marriage have been cleared to start collecting signatures.
The secretary of state on Friday gave the group Yes on Equality until August 17 to collect the nearly 700,000 signatures needed to qualify its initiative for the 2010 ballot.
If approved by voters, the group's proposed constitutional amendment would rescind Proposition 8, which passed last November. The California Supreme Court is

I guess the voters saying “No” on more than one occasion isn’t enough.
Wait, what am I saying. Duh.
Meanwhile, proponents of the Constitutions, both State and Federal, are collecting ammo...
They’ll keep voting until they get the result they want or else they’ll overturn it in court. If the courts rule against them, well, they’ll just hold their breath until they turn blue and we give up out of pity.
Hey, maybe Californians can make this an annual event!
They are going to have to lie to get folks to sign it and or pay big bounties to the signature gathers.... OR they could use ACORN for the signature gathering....
Wow - just one year after it passed - that’s queer!
Just to stick a thumb in their eye, we should gather signatures for a referendum item that officially declares homosexuality to be a mental disorder and a health hazard. We’ll run it every time they run their pro-homo stuff.
I like the way you think.
Resolved: Homosexual behavior is a mental disorder that results from continual self-indulgence in depravity.
So the new plan is to alter the California Constitution with a ballot initiative after getting a court order to say that you can’t alter the California Constitution with a ballot initiative.
Right. Got it.
Wow. You're good!
Help us in Arizona. Seriously. Help us. Californica is moving east.

This makes no sense. There has been no previous ballot measure seeking to repeal the ban so how is this the second? Also there were two previous ballot measures implementing a ban on gay marriage (both passed) so this will be the third on the subject in general. Where does the author get the number two?
The homo-nazis have two irons in the fire - both at the same time. One is a ballot measure to invalidate prop 8 and the second is one to abolish the term "marriage" from California law to make everyone a "domestic partner" - even previously recognized man/woman marriages - effectively legislating same-sex "marriage" by demoting marriage to a lowest common denominator.
What I don't get is that the homo-nazis are trying to run both of these ballot measures at the same time to bolster their chances of winning. If both measure were to pass, the first would reverse Prop 8, but then the second would take the term "marriage" away from the homos - something that would gall the vast majority of the activists who have slobbered over the prospect of hijacking this coveted institution.
For what it's worth, assuming no widespread voter fraud I believe both will go down in flames.
Naw, it would just get dumped to the courts and they get the result they want anyway.

These effers have no children, have no life, so can blow their time and money on promoting homo marriage. That’s one thing the illegal aliens will be voting against!
Good job boys. We have a hard time with turnout among church goers and sportsman. Thanks for the assist. Now if you could put a measure on banning hunting and fishing, we’ll take over the both houses of the Legislature.
