No doubt. DC is now trying to hammer what they believe will be the final nail in Capitalism and the Republic's coffin with the largest bribe cum extortion in history. May they fail miserably! VERY difficult for the States to withstand the withering fire from DC but they, and we, have GOT to find a way.

I’ve moved a step further. I’m a Texan and I think secession is the right call. We’ve got the resources to make it on our own and we can handle our own border problems better than D.C. can.
And while the rest of the country converts to socialized medicine, an independant Republic of Texas would take in all the doctors who don’t want to be told by the trial liars and the Obamacrats exactly how much money they can earn.
Texas’ economy would go through the roof (hey, no income tax or IRS!) and we would run economic circles around the incentiveless 49 states.
Our only problem would be trying to stem the tide of illegal aliens from Massachussetts, New York, California, Pennsylvania, Illinois, etc.
You're only partially correct: please don't ignore the GOP half of the Establishment that seeks to refute the 10th Amendment whenever doing so suits their needs. The Republicans are just as guilty as the Dims for different reasons.
Indeed. Our Founders and statesmen that followed helping cement this Republic; the soldiers and sailors and the rest who died fighting against the very thing that has come into our midst deserve every ounce of energy and courage we can muster; nothing less!

Well, Ted Nugent and Chuck Norris have both said they want to run for the office of President of Texas so maybe they'll get their chance ;^)
For my part, at least for now I'd like to encourage and support the States willing to make the effort to set the federales straight via the principles within the Constitution. Put the escaped beast back in its cage. God only knows the several States, if they were to stick together, have the retained powers of the Constitution and maybe even the numbers to make it so.
FWIW, it's been my belief since the Contract With America ran its course and Pubbies caught Potomac Fever after a few years running the show I gave up on DC myself. Putting Pubbies back in charge again will only change the beneficiaries of DC pork at taxpayer expense. DC is too far removed from and out of touch with The People, there's nothing we can do now except say a few words and throw some dirt on the place. IF we are to recover our Republic, I believe it will come via the States.

The Federal Govt is bankrupt. The states are going to have to take back all the land stolen from them by the fed govt. I am not sure how that will work in states like Alaska because the Feds bought AK from Russia.
Many of the states, especially Red ones, have natural resources so they do not need the federal govt.
Sadly too many people car more about inanities like the Final Four and other sports garbage.
Most the red states have natural resources and they would do well. States like TX, AK, UT and others. A new union could be made among these states and no it is not a civil war two. The Federal govt is bankrupt. Obama has bankrupted the country in the past 2 months.

very thought provoking. I think you may be right, no saving Federal Gubmnt except through an act of God. Ronaldos Magnus was the nearest thing we got and his legacy lasted through three administrations. Even RR could not dissmantal that mess. I am a former Oklahoman, and am proud of their efforts. Living in New Mexico I can tell you that the gears of progress are lubricated with Gubmnt cheese here. No saving this cesspool. But you know, as long as the States accept Federal Highway funds, Medicare funds, any kind of Federal funds they are shackled to Federal system. Thats why the States are so uniform in laws, customs etc. So, unless the States just quit taking Federal Monies we are stuck with business as usual.
