The race is on for the White House
The Daily Telegraph (UK) ^ | 3/20/2009 | Simon Heffer

Posted on 03/20/2009 4:43:51 PM PDT by 1066AD

The most remarkable sight in New York this week was a middle-aged black man on the subway wearing a badge proclaiming "PALIN IN 2012". It brought home two things. First, that the next presidential campaign has already started; and second, that it will be as wildly unpredictable as the last one.

Those of us who watched the Obama campaign at close quarters, and heard all the flannel about new dawns and decency, were unsurprised that this sort of flagrant dishonesty should become apparent so early in the day.

LOL

"we might reflect that if these people can’t deal properly with their friends, they haven’t a prayer of dealing properly with their enemies. "

So sadly true.

What a GREAT article! Why can’t anyone in the USA write such insightful analysis of our current situation? There is a sentence in paragraph 9 that you won’t see in an American paper these days, when courage is as rare as integrity in our pitiful press.

and second, that it will be as wildly unpredictable as the last one.

I guess the U.K. underestimates the stupidity of the American media and their pres__ent.

“WILDLY UNPREDICTABLE?”

Not with ACORN on the job!

This just in...

Based on their success in stealing the 2008 election, ACORN has changed its name.
The catchy new acronym is defined below.

Commies
On a
Rampage
Now
Have
Obama
Leaving nearly
Everyone
Really
Screwed

This, as you can see, spells “CORNHOLERS.” The leadership of the group formerly known as ACORN felt this was a more descriptive name given what they did to the rest of us in November of 2008.

They suggest all affected Americans also learn another acronym familiar to most veterans: BOHICA.

Bend
Over
Here
It
Comes
Again.

Film at 11:00!

They are written, then tossed out by the editors, or failed in class by the professors and teachers.

Great piece of writing and one that can never be done in the Obamanation of America. But, I think the piece is right, Obama is going to be a one term president—Who ever replaces him my bets are on the following:
Hillary Clinton launching a blistering attack from his own party.
Oliver North, launching an attack from the far right.
Bob Barr coming in from the south.
Ron Paul staging a comeback
and Above all others Sarah Palin as we have never seen her before leading the pitchfork reformers.

... and for all of the above, I’m with Sarah.

The Country Club Republicans have failed this country just as much as the democraps have.

NO MORE IVY LEAGUE EDUCATIONS!

They are arrogant and think only they have the answers.

Unfortunately without the country club republicans, no republican can get elected in current political situation.
Never overlook the stark fact that McCain turned out to be
the most popular amongst republicans.

I hear what you’re saying, and that is why this country will fall.

I am personally not going to ‘stay on the reservation, plantation, etc.’ and be a ‘good republican’ just because the dems are worse.

I didn’t vote for McCain ... I voted for Palin.

When all is said and done, I would prefer McCain over Obama 365 days in the year. I did not vote for McCain in primaries, but held my nose and voted for him, essentially against the socialist abortion king, Obama.

“Senator Christopher Dodd, a Democrat who chairs the committee that is supposed to scrutinise such things, denied amending the stimulus legislation to allow the bonuses to be paid. He was lying, as he now admits. He was in fact bullied into it by administration officials, for reasons that remain unclear. Both Senator Dodd and President Obama had donations from AIG to their campaigns of more than $100,000 last year, which may or may not have anything to do with it.”

That ain't the way I remember it.

The first thing that nitwit Steele should have done was to eschew the hiphop and clamp down on "open" primaries.
