She ignored her moral 'DUTY' to support and care for her child in a way that creates enough self-respect to not fall into the 'hit-and-split' culture as a minor.

I'm embarrassed for you defending her.

Are you a parent? I am. Sometimes life just doesn't work the way you want and you know what? Sometimes it's that way even though you did everything correctly and responsibly. It's kind of like when I as an NRA Instructor give a class to somebody seeking a Florida CCW permit. I make certain to tell each and every student (and I make them sign to affirm that they understand this) that even if every tactical principle and rule is properly applied in a self defense situation, you can still get killed. That's nobody's "fault" it's just life. Safety is nice, but it's not first. Life is first and life .... isn't .... safe.

Life is difficult. It's s'posed to be. This difficulty is amplified by the fact that parents no longer have the single end all be all influence in the lives of their children. In fact, it's easily possible to DO everything correctly and still have the kid FAIL at everything. There are a whole lot more factors that influence the lives of todays children than when you or I were kids. I know, I teach the same kids everyday.

As much as you may want to control everything, you don't "control" anything. It is what it is. Sometimes, the best you can do simply isn't enough.

Palin's daughter didn't have an abortion much to the dismay of liberals everywhere. Had she done so, the liberal establishment would have heralded the child and her parents as "heroes" for doing the "responsible" (in their eyes) thing. Refusing to abort the child put her family values at odds with the liberal establishment which made her "world view" a direct threat to liberal doctrine should Governor Palin ascend to the level of VP or POTUS.

Don't be embarrassed for me (I'm standing next to Jesus on this thing), be embarrassed for yourself. Your condemnation makes you look like a stereotypical shallow conservative lacking any compassion or mercy. This is the kind of thing liberal love to parade on television as an example of why political control rightly rests with them.

You know why Bill Clinton could have illicit sex in the White House and not be swinging from the political gallows by sundown JUST for that act of lust? Because every man on the planet says "Okay so he's a sinner and I'm a sinner. That could just as easily been ME!" Of course Bill Clinton had many other issues besides his intense libido, but that was all the average "Joe" saw in the media.

When Clinton was impeached on that moral offense, we let him skate on the real issues, like perjury and treason. That was the moment the conservative movement in this country began to die in the eyes of the electorate. If we want to get back our political souls we have to take back the issues and the message and stop forming circular firing squads of our own! Your self righteous ignorance is that firing squads ammunition and your diatribe the finger on the trigger. You could do our side a whole lot more good by joining their side.
