ROTFL.

Now the news releases the WH sends out about the garden there ought to be good for some laughs.

After a week of 70 degree weather (last week) I have to now go out and cover everything. We have a freeze warning tonight.

I’ll check this thread later, and be laughing all night.

“Promoting healthy eating for American families has become a part of the first lady’s agenda.”

Wow. I can think of about 100 other ‘agenda items’ that need to come BEFORE a White House garden...and you KNOW I love to grow food!

However...since WE THE PEOPLE, OWN that land, I guess we can all show up for a ripe bushel of tomatoes come July?

All smoke & mirrors, those two. *SPIT*

A) I don’t believe for a minute that she will actually ***work*** in that garden. She didn’t even have sense enough to put on some gloves today.

B) She ***might*** have the WH staff take her kiddies out to show them how much fun it is to garden.

C) After all that work from the WH staff, she will probably make a big show of serving some nice veggies from the garden for a photo op.

D) Is she going to put 55 gallon drums under the WH downspouts so she can water it? This is *organic* so we don’t want any of that nasty chlorine on our little plants now do we?

E) Give me a break...... HE’S going to work it????? When the hell is Obama going to find time (he’s working so freaking much now that he doesn’t have time to welcome the British PM, remember?) to WEED that stupid thing?

On the home front, I now have all my seeds and am chomping at the bit to get started!
