My Fellow Freepers: Let's stop talking treason and realize that the only way to get the government we want, and which we believe will exist within the clear bounds of our beloved Constitution, is to vote it into power. Realize that Obama was elected within the framework of law (even though I still want to see his actual birth cert., not some registration of a live birth); nonetheless he was voted in. Likewise, we must vote in our man or woman. The next 3.83 years are giving us the opportunity to re-secure our government by carefully and wisely doing 2 things: 1) encouraging our limited-government public servants (even if they are just local town officials) to run for higher office; for too long our political representatives have been career hacks that sell us out to the highest-bidding lobyist. I would sooner vote for a local common sense Constitutionalist for governor than the incumbent. And 2) start talking to people we know about the fundamental freedoms (Bill of Rights) and the need for fiscal responsibility. Lots of people are starting to realize that O is spending lots too much money — and they are getting worried. They are ripe to be reintroduced to the Bill of Rights as our founders intended it; we are fools if we don't reintroduce them. Talk to everybody about what the Constitution and BOR is about. Let's save our guns, ammo, and talk of treason for when they try to abolish the 2ND amendment.

It is not treasonous to discuss the dividing up of the USA. It is real possibility and NEEDS to be discussed. It is wise and prudent to do so. It happened once, it could happen again. Last time there were two major issues, states rights and slavery. Now the two sides disagree about everything. There is really very little holding things together IMHO. The real question is can a POSSIBLE division be done in a humane and peaceful way. Discussing that is better than shooting at each other, don't you think?

You are being overly optimistic.
Your fellow citizens accept socialism.
They out number you.
What now?

I'm not slamming you, scout's honor.

But what you wrote strikes me as similar to what the still-rational Germans must've been thinking/hoping in, say, '35 or '36 ?

First, you are wrong about voting being the only way. It may be the best way. It may be the least destructive way, but it is not the only way. The Founders of this country fully recognized the need for other ways, and provided for it.

Second, your optimism about the voting booth still being a viable option is, perhaps, a bit naive. The leftists have spent the last 40-50 years or more indoctrinating Americans through the school system, the entertainment industry, and the news media to reject core American principles and accept left-wing socialist principles instead. They have also fomented racial hatred in this country so that many of the non-white races now blame whitey for everything, and associate core American values with the evil white man, which they will never support. Additionally, the Left has been flooding the USA with millions of foreign nationals who have no allegiance to this country, and often an active hatred. None of these affected groups will vote in any meaningful numbers for anything remotely resembling American conservative values.

Third, and perhaps most important, fanatical adherence to the principles of our Constitution is not treason. Support of those in government who subvert and destroy our Constitutional principles would be treason. Fighting for the Constitution would be patriotism, so you have your analysis exactly backwards. The military oath of loyalty is to the Constitution, NOT to the party in power and NOT to any politician. Fighting against those who subvert and destroy the Constitution in the US would be fulfillment of the oath, not a violation of it.

We don’t have tht kind of time. By giving in to Iran, letting Russia use central American airfields, turning our back on Israel, and selling the nation to China, Zero is in fact being teasonous.

Wait all you want.

My Fellow Freepers: Let's stop talking treason ...

Our forefathers committed treason also.
