Maria Shriver says President Barack Obama's joke comparing his poor bowling score to that of a Special Olympics athlete was hurtful, although she is sure he didn't mean it that way.

Of course he didn't mean it that way. Does that make the remark any less insensitive?

Shriver and her lot would be calling for heads to roll if a Republican so carelessly said the same thing.

Why didn’t he mean it that way? What other possible way could he have meant it? How could there have been any positive thing to come out of the way he said it?

My bowling sucks. Its like the Special Olympics. I am like a retard or a handicapped person who bowls.

I don’t see how he could have meant anything positive by what he said.
