Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll
Friday, March 20
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 35% of the nations voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-one percent (31%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +4 (see trends).
Obama has been on the job for two full months and a review of the numbers shows a significant increase in the number of Americans who believe government spending will rise during the Obama years.
Additionally, 50% now worry that the government will do too much rather than too little in dealing with the economic crisis. Thats up seven-percentage points over the past month.
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter.
Overall, 55% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the Presidents performance so far. Thats his lowest overall rating to date. Forty-three percent (43%) disapprove. For more, see Obama By the Numbers or recent demographic highlights.

America don’t like socialism.
That’s only a 9% drop in the Strongly Disapprove since January but I’ll take it.
From Rasmussen link: “A Rasmussen video report shows that most voters nationwide want strong enforcement of immigration laws . Specifically, most favor strong employer sanctions on employers who hire illegal immigrants and most also favor surprise raids at places where immigrants are known to gather.”
President Obama, how will you heal a divided country?
President Obama, have you squandered you support to govern from the extreme left, rather than from the middle?
I'm not going to hold my breath from this White House Press corps.
If the press were honest with their reporting (ie: actually reporting half of the events) his approval would hit the teens overnight.
Except that’s what we all thought before the elections as well (that the plus voting for Hussein was bogus) and we were disappointed at the results when even traditional red states turned blue.
The List, ping
I strongly disapproved when he was in the Office of the TelePrompTer Elect.
This is my fear.
No question that over time his approval rating will sink. My worry is blacks will not abandon him and America will be labeled as a racist nation
Wait for the CNN special in the future; “America: The Land of the Bigots and Home of the Klan.”
I recall that argument being used during the presidential campaign, in the end, the polls turned out to be right.
Look for Obozo’s approval numbers to get even worse over the next few weeks months and years.
Rasmussen correctly called the last 2 elections so if this number is accurate it is probably good news. Despite all the hype and adulation BHO has only increased his support by 2 points since election day? If he keeps dropping at this rate Republicans might have some success at the polls this November and more importantly, next year.
If enough blacks do that, and if all of us can slowly and patiently educate them to the truth, perhaps enough of them will vote with their brains (and not their emotions) the next time they have a chance. It will take a massive turn-around to negate the ACORN and fraud votes, but it could happen....
Educating all Americans to think rather than blindly follow what CNN, MSM, and their Dem-masters (can I say that?) tell them.
Obama’s a PUNK THUG
Fifty-five percent (55%) of Americans can now be classified as populists while 7% support the political class. The mainstream, or populist, view typically sees big government and big business as political allies rather than political opponents."
There is an abscess growing on the presidency.
