Fotunately, I am not one of them.

My primary residence is free and clear. I purchased a 2nd house in 2005 with my income tax refund (just the down payment). I can afford the mortgage even if it is vacant. I have my middle son in the house right now. When he moves along, I'll rent it again. I turn 53 this year, so I still have a few years before wearing the label "senior citizen".

We went to different schools together.

My “2nd” house is the house that we grew up in.
I bought it off when dad died and mom kept living there until she died.

Now, my 1st son lives there. - Yes, he has to pay rent.
I have children younger than my grandkids. :)

I guess being over 55 makes me a senior citizen to AARP...
