Poll: Americans Have Come Full Circle On Iraq Americans Feel More Positive About Iraq, Less So About Afghanistan
Six years after the start of U.S. military operations in Iraq, American optimism about the situation in Iraq has returned to levels last seen in 2003, according to a new CBS News poll.
Still, most Americans continue to believe the U.S. should have stayed out of Iraq in the first place. And Americans are now far more pessimistic about the situation in Afghanistan than they are the war in Iraq.
Sixty-four percent of Americans now say U.S. efforts to bring stability and order to Iraq are going at least somewhat well. That's the highest percentage since December 2003, shortly after the U.S. capture of Saddam Hussein.
Just one year ago, only 43 percent described things in Iraq as going well. In June 2007, the percentage who said as much was just 22 percent. Americans began feeling more positive about the situation in Iraq last fall.

Sorry, Dingy Harry, we didn’t lose in Iraq. YOU lost. And next fall the good people of Nevada will help you lose your job.
“Americans” are now experts in military tactics and strategies. It’s science that they are flunking.
Allow me to help....
THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE MORONS
There. That should help.
There, fixed it.
thinks = things
THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE MORONS
What do you expect. How many hours of sitcoms are they watching each week. How pathetic the way they swallowed liberal bile about Bush & Cheyney - oil snatching war mongerers. So now they are catching on. I wonder how long it will take them to realise that they voted for the greatest socialist wealth distrubution in history via the tax & spend machinations behind (1) the global credit crisis and (2) global warming. We can only hope a deep recession will help throw these bums out of office.
From your keyboard to G-d's server, my friend!

You’re not being nice to the sincere morons.
With no respect, screw them. I’ve no interest in the opinions of a public on a matter as serious as war that flips flops as they do.
‘The Art of Contrary Thinking’ says it all. Whenever the populace is headed in one direction, one must ask if that position is the opposite of what is needed. I’ve always felt the polls indicate the population is entirely out of whack when bombarded with media propaganda, but semi-sensible when given it’s own time to reason.
To me, the enemy is lack of independent thinking, and lack of contrary opinions within the media. A whole bunch of cheerleaders resides in the media, and overall they’re the enemy. Right or left, they have to be made to tell the story with an array of reviewed sources.
