I’m not going to get into an argument with you, just to be pulled into a defensive position over my chosen religion.
All I will say is that there is a lot of false data about Scientology on the internet and elsewhere. I’ve been a church member for 35 years, and can attest to that.
You won’t know what it really is, unless you pick up a Scientology book and read it for yourself. Everything else is just hearsay.
And, if you want to know how the average Scientologist feels about being an American, read my profile.
Well said and I applaud your taking the high road. We could all profit from being a little more inclusive, here.
Ever read mission earth?
Hubbard lays out the foundation for construction of a false religion to control the powerful elite...long before he dreamt up dyanetics...
I dont know what you found there....but I read damn near everything hubbard wrote as a sci-fi fan....he went nuts while writting it...it just got more and more whacked until he believed his own stuff...
One common theme in even battle field earth....”leverage,blackmail and coersion”...he delighted in it as a plot line through his sci-fi novels....it’s literally dripping with it...
He spun a good yarn...but his beliefs where quite whacked at the end..
Straight up...
Excerpts below, seem to indicate that activities of Greta Van Susteren and John P. Coal, resembles PR goals for infiltration of "opinion leaders," VIP's and the government, as originally set out by Scientology's founder.
"The goal of the Department is to bring the government and hostile philosophies or societies into a state of complete compliance with the goals of Scientology. This is done by high level ability to control and in its absence by low level ability to overwhelm. Introvert such agencies. Control such agencies. Scientology is the only game on Earth where everybody wins."
L. Ron Hubbard, HCO Policy Letter of 15 August 1960, "DEPT OF GOVT AFFAIRS"
"Once the world is Clear - a nation, a state, a city or a village - the Scientology organization in the area becomes its government! And once this has taken place the only policy accepted as valid is Scientology policy."
L. Ron Hubbard, from a lecture entitled "Future Org Trends" given January 9th, 1962
