I suspect we older folks are going to be off the hook.

Don't bet on it:

(12) Whether current Federal volunteer programs are suited to address the special skills and needs of senior volunteers, and if not, how these programs can be improved such that the Federal Government can effectively promote service among the ‘baby boomer’ generation.

I can envision them "improving" Social Security into "no servee, no checkee."

Right! And we should all note that they will be pushing us all “outside our comfort zones” in other words serving people whose agenda we do not support! I recall ms. O stating this in Puerto Rico.

Dangerous to say the least! This bill is so unconstitutional on so many levels it is staggering!

Federal volunteer programs

Well I'm 44 and they can kiss my @Z$. The word is "volunteer". By the dictionary, it means to do something by your own will. I will not do it.

Besides, I spent 5 or 6 years on the Volunteer Fire Department and EMS. I put in enough free time and nights with no sleep. If forced to volunteer, I'll find another one local to where I live now and go back to that, not the Obama camp.

I've done a lot of community service on my own.
