When George W. Bush was President, the Democrats and certain press outlets hammered every little mistake he made as evidence of him being the dumbest President ever. They did this not to hurt Bush, that was an awesome side benefit. The main intent was to cripple the GOP. It worked. This approach began with Nixon and Ford, but took a much-hated hiatus during Reagan, who turned the remaining southern Democrats into Republicans and created the last great party boom.
Alleging Bushs supposed idiocy day after day was designed to put the idea in the head of the general populace that the GOP was inept. They decided to nominate Bush, the dumbest person in the world, how can they ever be trusted again?
Sarah Palins appeal to middle America almost derailed the whole thing. The media took care of her in short order by portraying her as, you guessed it, dumb. Obama is now our President. The plan was a masterpiece.
The GOP, in not fighting back forcefully enough, was played like a fiddle. The media is biased toward liberalism no doubt; however, I do remember seeing Bush, Cheney, Frist, et. al. on the Sunday talk shows for all eight years of the Bush Presidency. The opportunity to fight was there. Blaming the media for the travails of todays GOP is like former World Series champs blaming a bad season on the fact that the other team had better training facilities.
This brings me to the teleprompter gaffe. As of this writing, the video of the event with President Obama and Brian Cowen has not been released.

Who does that TOTUS think it’s fooling with that flag pin- we know it didn’t even put it’s hand over its heart for the National Anthem.
i think that might be Bush’s body with TOTUS’s head.
A major reason why Reagan turned the south was because he walked his talk on Republican principles. The spending and the Tarp situation also made it easier for everyone to eventually get angry at Bush. Palin? Yes this is all unfair but when she lost in on the stupid Katie Couric interview she made it more difficult to stand up overall. It is the reality.
The GOP needs stones and lots of 'em or go home. It is wrong sadly, but reality. Everything we feared and said Obama is true and as you mentioned the evidence was all there. It wasn't a guessing game. We based it on his history and what we were seeing and hearing. The rest of America was and many still are visually blinded and deaf. Sadly.
We need to fight back hard against the dems, the MSM, and all arenas that buck up and uphold the fight for Democrats.
lost in=lost in. Bring on the teleprompter footage!!!! TOTUS goes mad!!!!
Yup.
Very good article.
Not holding breath
I agree with everything you said.
We DID know, from listening, and seeing, and not being taken in by the MSM propaganda. But alas, the dumbing down of America has taken its toll on us.
TOTUS Zero is too cool to put his hand over his heart for the National Anthem. He’s too cool to speak from the heart.
I know which one I would expect to find in a 3 Stooges Short, but that "blooper" doesn't make the cut.
It’s time for the GOP to start taking heads. Before we have to do it literally.
Yeah, he’s cool and hip...and Manchurian.
So how soon until Garry Trudeau (Doonesbury) portrays Obama as a teleprompter? Not holding breath
Oh absolutely! I've been thinking about that for at least a month. lol Lets see how soon hell freezes over.
Every time I see Hussein I can’t help but think of “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.”
“Go **** yourself, San Diego.”
Yeah, he’s a cool, hip, Manchurian hologram.
Really annoys me when obie reads telepromter words and his head goes from one side to the other, without looking straight ahead. Left, right, left ,right, he bounces his head around like a springball instead of looking into the camera. I wonder if his eyes move when he reads, and this is why he can’t look straight ahead.
Barack Obama's Teleprompter's Blog (the teleprompter wants a book deal worth $$$ too!)
