Her mother was Vanessa Redgrave. Lynn Redgrave was her aunt.
It’s tragic. My prayers to Liam and family.
I hit my head really hard skiing a month ago. If I wouldn’t have had a helmet on...there but for the grace of God go I.
It’s like they always say, “It’s not the fall, it’s HOW you fall.” That was the entire deal with Christopher Reeve as well. Of course, head injuries need to be treated no matter what. I learned quite a bit these last few hours about how a head injury can be fatal even when it seems benign.
Very sad.
Very, very sad.
Very sad.
Condolences to the whole family.
Her Mom is a great actress, even though she’s a crazy commie.
Thank you for expressing those beautiful sentiments. They speak for my heart as well.
About 15 years ago or so, I was playing racquetball with some friends of mine. At one point, I got smacked full-on in the back of the head by the ball.
We finished out the game and went back to work. An hour later or so, this darkness started at the edges of my vision and in 5 minutes completely engulfed me. I was blind (and damn scared).
Thank God, it wore off after a half hour. But that was the longest half hour of my life.
You just never know.
Vanessa is her mother, Lynn is her Aunt.
Her mother is Vannesa Redgrave. She won the oscar in ‘77 for ‘Julia’ and went on an extended rant about ‘zionist hoodlums’, apparently irked about the protests outside over a documentary she had produced about the Palestinian cause.
She was blackballed from Hollywood for years, with even Charlton Heston eventually expressing disgust that the ‘greatest living actress on Earth’ couldnt even score a part as an extra because of her political beliefs.
She’s a Trotskyite Communist. As far as these things go, they’re the ‘nice communists’. I mean that in the relative sense.
Now her father was even more interesting; Tony Richardson directed Tom Jones (won best director at Oscars for it) and Charge Of The Light Brigade, among others. He left Vannessa high and dry with the 2 girls in the late 60’s for Jeanne Morreau, then died of AIDS in ‘91.
My condolences to her family. My favorite movie with her in it was WIDOW’s PEAK.
We are dying from the day we are born. We don’t know that we will draw another breath from ne second to another. Being ready to go at any time is wisdom. Knowing that we belong to the Lord and are trying our best to do His will is the only peace we can know in this world.
What a tragedy. My heart, and prayers, go out to the family, especially their sons.
May her family be comforted.
P.S. I went out and got a helmet the next day and the dog no longer rides with me. And I don't go stunt woman like down mountains any more.
Tragic story, so sorry to hear this.
You mean Vanessa Redgrave.
Let me put it this way. Her mother thought Karl Marx was a greedy capitalist. But this is not the time. Prayers for the family during this difficult hour.
