A spokesman for the family of Natasha Richardson says she has died, CBS station WCBS-TV in New York reports.
"Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."

From what I heard, she was brain-dead when they decided to take her to the hospital in NY. The easier to say goodbye.

Oh, bumping your head is a common way to die. I’ve seen it twice personally on my job and with my mom.

Amen. It made me think of Princess Diana’s two boys. They were about the same ages, I think. Natasha’s boys are 12 and 13 - really cute kids too.
It doesn’t matter how much money you have, to lose your mother at a tender age is a cruel, cruel fate. May God bless them. I have no idea what faith Liam might have, or if this could cause him to return to a lapsed faith, but I pray this time might cause him to become close to our Lord.
Natasha had a rough childhood and I had read that at age 12 she was cooking all the time for the lefty loonies her mom, Vanessa, who is a Marxist, would have in the home all the time.
Sooooooo sad. Many prayers to her family. I know Ms. Redgrave must be hit the hardest with this. She just lost a child. :( No doubt Mr. Neeson and the children are absolutely distraught.
