This is one of the better pieces Ann has written in years. She's much more effective when not quite so acerbic.
Ron Silver was a patriot and a voice of reason in an otherwise completely unreasonable industry. He will be missed.

When Ann’s acerbic (which admittedly is just about always), you can be pretty much sure her target deserves that approach.
But I’d certainly agree it’s reassuring to see the kindness and gratitude she expressed in this piece - and Silver surely deserved it.
And I did like the fact that she still managed to work in a couple of sharp digs at the (unnamed) slime who did try to punish Silver for his personal integrity.

Ann Coulter is a very talented writer and is able to write in a style necessary for each situation.
I hope the rest of the posters respect this very nice eulogy for Mr. Silver without throwing a dig in about the writer.

"Ron sometimes told me of the cruelty directed at him by his former friends, but never with bitterness or for publication -- although I'm tempted to get it off my chest even if he didn't want to get it off his chest. You know who you are."
"She's much more effective when not quite so acerbic."
Disagree.
She should have spelled out exactly who the A$$hole former friends are. Likely there were simply too many to mention. All "Heroes" of the Left Wing Lunacy.
BTW, why are we abbreviating Ann Coulter's columns out here on FR.com/? Just curious.

We cut Ann the same slack we cut you.
She wrote a nice remembrance of a good and respected friend.
