Rush claimed it was a distraction to focus on replacing Geithner? Did I misunderstand?

Geithner is the epitome of Obama's incompetence. His departure is a just reward for his tax cheating alone. Rush's reasoning was that another incompetent would be chosen. I am rather outraged this guy's signature is on our money, running our IRS, etc., etc.

Probably because the longer Geithner stays in office, the more of a black eye the Obama administration takes.
To: RushingWater
I think Rush is right. We may be better off with Timmy.

because his replacement will be just as bad for the country but less of a PR problem

Because this all a distraction while they are stealing the country - cap and trade, 2nd rights amendment, etc.

Because if he goes there will be this false sense that he was the problem, and who do you think he’ll be replaced with, a conservative?

Maybe because Geithner is only a distraction. Dodd and Obama actually had more involvement in the AIG issue, I believe.

Yep. Geithner is the gift that keeps on giving. What better than a tax cheat for a poster boy to head the IRS? He is so bad that people have already forgotten about Hank Paulson.

"Probably because the longer Geithner stays in office, the more of a black eye the Obama administration takes." ...and little Timmy is doing exactly what he is told to do. Forget him, it's the head of the snake you want.
To: Free America52
One could say he is a whipping post, a patsy, a decoy. The administration has more on their agenda than seeking credibility by cleaning house and placing in position one of capability. The intent is to fail. Rush knows this and realizes replacing geithner accomplishes nothing....

I hope they keep Geithner. Have something to tie around their necks. Imagine how great it would be if Obama kept on Daschle.
And imagine how great it would be if Obama kept on the child pornographer guy and Americans are cowards guy. Oh wait.

Rush wants the publicity that goes with people like Geithner.
He might be looking for retirement if McAinal was elected and the MSM went into the tank.

A TAX CHEAT in charge of thge IRS.....PRICELESS!!!

I concur. The fact that Timmy’s staff seats are left vacant makes me suspect he is in his post for reasons besides running the Treasury. That’s why people keep backing out of being his Deputy.
