That is sad...I hate to see newpapers go out of business...but the times are changing...they better get on the internet and start charging if they want to survive. I want to get an Iphone, Blackberry or Verizon something myself...as soon as I figure out which one does what.

IMHO the money to AIG was to allow it to pay insurance claims to foreign banks taht were insured by them. Since the US public would not allow a direct payment to those banks, they reimbursed the insurer for that cost, so no one perceived it as a bailout of the foreigners using tax payer dollars.
The CEO bonus issue is one tenth of one percent of the total given to AIG. Any wonder that it is treated with so much attention? It is clearly to distract the public from the larger elephant in the room. All they would have to do is short the bailout by $170,000,000.00 and they would be “sqaure on this issue.”
Rush is frustrating the heck out of me. He gave the tea parties one brief mention yesterday and the briefest of mentions so far today. If the AIG mess is a distraction, and I agree with Rush that it is, why is he talking so much about it? If he talked as much about the tea parties they'd take off like a rocket.

A local TV story took those facts and then stated that, "Senator Barack Obama's presidential campaign is asking Missouri law enforcement to target anyone who lies or runs a misleading television ad during the presidential campaign," which doesn't seem a fair representation of the formation of the "Truth Squad."
Many of the Obama Missouri Truth Squad members have law enforcement powers, such as Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch and St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce.
