Thank you ...
I could not recall the case name.
I had found it once during a search for setting up to “go galt.” It was a frightening consideration that the government could come in and tax you (farmer) for foods you raised for your own use.
“because they arent buying their fair share of food “

Send me your mailing address, or one of your neighbors, if you'd rather. I'll send you a bolt cutter. ;)
Food makes great tax free money.
This winter when I needed furnace work done, I paid the furnace man half price in cash and I’m making some garden space for him to make up the rest.

Nearly a half century ago during the Great Leap, with all private farming banned, two thirds of the workers at the remote nuclear weapons development base in Qinghai province were dying of severe malnutrition.

Garden PING..............
Yes, folks, I realize this is getting a bit repetitious, but the more people made aware of this the better off we will all be.
The same ones that you have!
I’m wondering if this is some backdoor to prevent home tobacco growers.
I’ve got the entire area alongside and in back of our house tilled. We are still using the okra, cabbage, collards, and tomatoes from last season, after giving a large portion to our neighbors. This season we will move the squash into the front yard as “landscaping”. The city of Charlotte probably come against us for not keeping growth height down, so we are going into raised bed planters with timber borders.
It seems more to me like a front door to prevent home grown ANYTHING.
I live near Ft. Bragg and we’re starting a garden of our own next month in order to reduce food costs.
Yeah, but considering that the government gets more tax revenue from tobacco than it does cucumbers...

Seems to me that they’re crushing farming of anything in this country.
The EPA is going to regulate dust from fields which should effectively eliminate a good many farms. They want to regulate home gardens which will shut down that source of food.
The 2200% increase on tobacco taxes will eliminate a good bit of that market and the FDA regulating them should put the kill shot on them.
Where I live it is illegal to grow food in your front yard: must be flowers and lawn only. I’ve been gardening for 20 years, I grow the best food I eat
Monsanto is pure evil. Our public universities are their R&D arms, via USDA
Just another way our leftist government is controlling the means of production. See Communist Manifesto.
I remember back in the fifties, Michigan State inspectors coming to our farm in the UP of Michigan to make certain that Dad had not over planted his wheat allotment. He had, of course, but they were shown the oats and couldn't tell the difference.
At some point the people of America will have to grow enough backbone to take a stand. If we don't, vegetables aren't the only thing we will be missing!
My high school used to be surrounded by tobacco farms. I worked on one one summer. Some years ago the state paid farmers to turn their land into other businesses.
My friends and I had to walk 3 miles up hill both ways to buy a bottle of M/D 20/20 or a 6 of National Bohemian. These kids today now have a very nice vineyard and winery a mile away.
When hoes are outlawed only outlaws will have hoes!
