A few days ago I posted about the Obama administrations plan to rob soldiers of some of their medical benefits. Today the head of the American Legion (the nations largest veterans organization) paid a visit to Obama to talk about the issue, and he didnt leave happy.Normally I am a staunch advocate of limited government and privatization. But in this instance we have troops who served their country, often in awful war zones that left them scarred and maimed, and they did so with the assumption that medical care would be one of the benefits theyd receive as compensation. The government has no business trying to opt out of that.

Obama has just planted some seeds he will regret when they are harvested.
If there are any Tuskeege (sp?) airmen left, they should be contacted for their views on this raghead’s latest assault on the country.
Not for long, I am afraid.
.... divided we fall.
You naively assume that I have no life experience just because I'm twenty-three. You stupidly assume that my life has been fine and dandy and that I don't suffer from any hardships.
Think again.
You pushed hard to get voters to vote third party.
I pushed for my fellow voters to support conservatives, something I can't say holds true for you.
This is your damn train wreck.
Quit trying to evade responsibility. If I'm so young and inexperienced, as you claim, then how are the years of rot and decaya direct result of taking the "pragmatic" and "moderate" approach to one's own core principleswithin the Republican Party *my* fault?
You were okay with having Obama, you got him.
When did I say that?
When did I ever say that I was "okay" with having Obama?
I was never okay with Obama. But I was also never okay with McCain either. Both of them are detestable, treasonous skunks, and neither is, or ever will be, worthy of filling the office of President of the United States of America.
This is another sign of Obama’s gross incompetence. There is ZERO chance that this will pass Congress (even Patty Murray called id DOA!) - but by discussing it, he gains the everlasting hatred of those who have served.
It is Lose/Lose for him...so why? All I can come up with is Michelle sitting at the table, flexing and saying, “But Bill Ayers said it was a great idea...”
If you want to talk about me, don't do it behind my back a la McCain.
Unfortunately they were probably coned into thinking about how voting President Obama into office would be a sign of progress.
Yet, the throngs of ignorant Americans adore The One.
The locals here in Orange County are giddy that The One will be visiting on Wednesday. So much for Orange County Conservatives. We have Obama stickers on BMW's and MBZ's here.
Why should I join with and support folks who believe in privileging pragmatism over principle, essentially selling their souls to save their skins? Either you know who you are and what you believe in, and you stand firm, come what may, or you are just a fair-weather fool and a follower.
The responsibility for governance requires more than simple charisma. It requires a capacity for leadership, grounded in a set of core principles, a willingness to stand one's ground, unflinchingly, against the opposition even when the odds are not in one's favor, and a certain trust and faith in one's Creator that ultimately, good will prevail over evil.
I don’t remember anyone here, save for a few trolls that lasted less than a day, cheering for Obama. I remember much anti-RINO sentiment, and I remember a very lackluster campaign from McCain who said he agreed with Obama on many points. As the big dog on the block, the RNC is at fault for not choosing Conservatism, the only policy they have ever ridden to victory. Maybe RINO’s need a little socialism to see that even a little, is terribly dangerous.

Smells fishy to me, too. Why would a president with Marxist leanings want to privatize health insurance for vets? I think the theory that he wants to overload insurance companies in order to nationalize them makes sense.
But why create such a public relations disaster so soon? No one is going to like this one, especially not the military. It seems intentionally provocative, as though he is trying to bring the simmering tensions to a head.
Unless and until the infighting among those that claim to be conservative or Republican stops, we will not be in power again for a very long time. Keep it up folks the other side loves it.
That’s nice in theory....in theory I agree. But we didn’t have the choice of Ronald Reagan v BO...and no one else but McCain ever had a chance at beating BO.
I once threw away a vote for Ross Perot and we got Clinton. Never again.
Lots of votes were thrown away and now we have what is probably the worst president this country will ever see. NOT worth it.
Your position reminds me of those who say they’d rather see the country get nuked than waterboard a terrorist.
settle down junior. ‘behind you back’? my post was right up and out front here for everybody to see including you wasn’t it? you are in over your head here it appears young man.
I wasn’t the least bit thrilled with McCain but there’s no way he could be a fraction as bad as Obama.
Yeah, thats about it, LOL.
Thank you all of you marxist liberals, free loaders, race baiters, dumb rhinos, and even stupider vets who voted bozo into office /sarc>
