IMHO, it's an indirect hint at that genes are involved.

It might just be Somali Culture in general. Somali Culture is very introverted and laconic vs American culture. Eye contact is usually considered rude. Most of these Somali children who have “Asperger’s Syndrome” are simply Meyer’s-Briggs ISTJs.
