Administration Considers Prosecuting Gitmo Detainees in Civilian Courts

WASHINGTON -- Old terror case files are being dusted off as the Obama administration considers prosecuting high-profile Guantanamo Bay detainees in civilian courts, focusing on crimes allegedly committed before Sept. 11, 2001. It's a tactic that could allow the government to limit testimony about harsh, more recent interrogations and to avoid revealing sensitive intelligence about Al Qaeda.

Some of the detainees, including alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed, have criminal charges pending from alleged terror plots long before the 2001 attacks.

A senior Justice Department official, speaking on the condition of anonymity because the government is still reviewing cases, said bringing such detainees to trial on prior charges is one of many possibilities being considered. No decisions have been made.

Administration considers???

That is what Ayres, Alinsky and Soros had as one of his main campaign issues.

Nothing new here, just the road to compromising out national security

Khalid Sheik Mohammed could be easily handed over to Virginia for a quick trial and an even quicker execution.

Let's see if Eric Holder has the courage to let justice be done.

Oh. This is a great idea. We are going to bring this into civilian courts, try them with federal prosecutors who are political appointees while they are defended by the slickest, most unethical ACLU lawyers that rich totalitarian loving celebrities and anti-American Soros-like people can buy.

We will give them every privilege you and I have as citizens of this great country, which they cheerfully and readily admit they attacked.

How sad is this.

Payoff's with oil countries' money to the Lawyers, no less.

I expected the Trial Lawyers (who salivate for oil-money-backed terrorist clients) who were pushing for Gitmo to let them represent the towelheads, are being paid back for backing The Messiah in his coronation.
