Americans have had enough! ('progressive' tea parties)
Take Back the Economy ^

Posted on 03/16/2009 2:21:03 PM PDT by Lorianne

On March 19, 2009 Americans in cities nationwide will hold demonstrations at the offices of major banks and other corporations to demand more responsible corporate behavior and call on Congress to enact the change that will make it happen ⎯ employee free choice and healthcare reform.

I guess there is no way they would join the tea party revolution already underway ... it'll be interesting to see the media coverage of this event compared to the media coverage of the Santelli inspired Tea Parties.

Also, it'll be intersting to see what effect this will have on the Obama administration, if any.

(Snicker) "Employee free choice" is the ability of the union to vet that employee's votes. Yeah, the Pee Pul are just a-clamorin' for that one.

Of course you're correct, this is an attempt to deflect the impact of populist uprisings with respect to tax increases and irresponsible spending measures, to attempt to frame it as approval of Obama's excesses. The MSM will play along, bet on it.

Looking at the list of sponsors, this thing had to have been planned from way back ... I’m wondering what is the game plan here?

I think it’s a diversion from Obama’s policies and shifting the blame to Major Banks and other Corporations.

What really is at issue is the government (Congress’s) complicity in the shenanigans and payola that have been going on with these ‘banks and cororations’. They don’t want people to look too closely at that ... just blame the banks and corporations themselves.

We really really need to get out in front of this and get the word out on exactly who in Congress has dropped the ball (since 2004 and beyond) on banking oversight etc.

Folks, is there any way out of this except a separation due to irreconcilable differences?

I think you are correct (the liberal Obamawarroom-Or whatever you want to call it)’s next step to to blame banks and wall-street instead of where it belongs On the Obama Administration 1st (and secondly) on the Democratically Controlled Congress! They're just a bunch of pro-obama folks that are too proud and brainwashed to admit they were wrong (even though his policies will hurt 90% of them too); they're going to be overwhelmed (and Lord willing; because we are going to have to make sure WE are on His side) they will be defeated electorally (or procedurally by Constitutional means) if necessary.

With all due respect, this is the wrong approach. The blame for this financial fiasco starts and ends with Congress. They created this mess to make the corporations look the only bad guys in this fight. Now they are fostering a class warfare attitude against the very corporations they allowed to remain in business despite making bad decisions thanks to the socialist bailouts with the intention of the socialists appearing to come to the American Public's rescue by passing more legislation!

Corporations are definitely partly to blame but focusing solely on corporations plays right into the socialists hands!

“No More bailouts”, “America for Sale” “Obama yo mama, uncle same yo baby daddy (No that last one sounds racist)”, still be polite, but take over their meetings:HI-JACK them.

I agree. But this is a diversionary ‘protest’ that seems well planned in advance of the populist ‘outrage’ over bonuses, etc.

Where was the outrage when we were bailing these companies out in the first place?

This think smells so pre-planned. It’s not the ‘wrong approach’ from their POV ... it’s the master plan.
