Cheney dismisses idea that Limbaugh is bad for GOP

WASHINGTON (AP) — Neither Superman nor the Republican Party has to worry about Rush Limbaugh — not if Dick Cheney is right.

The former vice president says he disagrees with those who say the radio talk-show host is "kryptonite" for the GOP.

That's the assessment of former Bush administration speechwriter David Frum, who contends that Limbaugh drives voters away from the Republican Party.

Cheney calls Limbaugh "a good friend" who does great work and serves an important purpose.

Well, in that the currently diseased GOP is very inconsistently conservative, I would say that no, Rush Limbaugh is very bad for the Republican party.

And that, is a good thing.

This whole Get Rush thing blew up in the dems' faces. It was so amateurish, juvenile and transparent. And the fact that they got The Kenyan to join in a street brawl (actually, I believe that Messiah2008^® is several levels down in the hierarchy that's actually running the WH) certainly didn't do his credibility any favors. The dems have indicated that "they're done with Rush", but I don't think Rush is done with them. They'll be whipped into next Thursday over this one.

I respect the opinion of a man who gives Cheney proportions to charity while the thieves on the left persecute him. He’s the type of guy who would know what Limbaugh is all about. Losers like Frum would be pariahs in a functional, winning, Republican Party, and I hope we see that kind of party before the losers set us up for another loss.
