Obama’s (and Apparently Newsweek’s) War on Seniors is in Full Swing

...Whether or Not Liberals Care to Recognize It

The reaction of some liberals and all of the media to Obama’s plan to ration health care for the elderly shows once and for all what conservatives have suspected for a quite some time: that given the choice of abandoning their liberal dogma or saving their lives, far too many Democrat supporters would risk their health and that of their countrymen than so much as reassess the nonsensical, foolish and downright harmful rhetoric that is the Democrat Party’s far-left creed.

In the column “Just How Low Have Democrats Sunk – Is Killing Seniors Now Not Beyond Limits?” I expressed contempt for how Democrats had covertly snuck health care legislation into their so-called economic “stimulus” bill (a reckless collection of payoffs and wishful hopes that will do little other than further endanger this nation’s international credit rating). That, in turn, raised the ire of Democrats not against the outlandish measures, but against those who point them out instead.

War on Seniors is in Full Swing

They consider the seniors "useless eaters." If they could eliminate the elderly, there would be more free hand outs for them.

If you want to get a good look at evil - look to your left.

Couldn’t happen to a better bunch. Almost all seniors I know were big supporters of Obama. They whined incessantly about Bush taking their savings down the toilet. What they couldn’t figure out was that the Democrats took over in 2006 and that’s what brought it down. Maybe they shouldn’t have believed everything that the AARP was telling them.

Yep. They're getting what they voted for. Maybe next time they'll pay more attention. We were right. They were wrong.

Thanks for writing this. I'll be bringing a copy of your article to one of my most rabidly liberal acquaintances - we'll see what happens.

As for me, at 52, a log cabin in the deep woods far away from other humanoids is looking pretty good to me.

Sometimes it’s hard to fault politically naive people for believing the bald-faced lies told to them by disingenuous campaigns.

They were lied to by Axelrod, et al., about how McCain would strip their senior benefits, and the McCain campaign ineptly failed to counter the charges.

That’s why the MSM’s total lack of intellectual honesty played a big part in the outcome.

May I suggest adding a moat filled with snakes and aligators, with a secondary moat of fuel oil, with a remote ignitor? That's my plan.....

Yes, you are right. Most seniors grew up watching ABC, CBS and NBC and it was the only news source they had. They thought Walter Cronkite was the source of all news and was most certainly never wrong. Today it is a different story.

I am one old person who did not vote for Obama because I knew he would do this. The old and the unborn are not essential to him.

There are many “old” people like me who have good sense; not just you young whippersnappers......

So where would that leave Biden’s mother. Without coverage and no hospitalization after her fall yesterday.

Honestly, all the “old girls” I know of are conservative, pro-life, active Catholic, and we all despise Obama. I voted for Nixon *twice* when you were likely in diapers.

You might want to be careful, calling names...there are a lot of FReeper women around my age, around here. Matter of fact, I don’t think I can name one of “Hillary’s old girls” who is a FReeper, can you?

Wonder how the AARP is taking this news. I refuse to join them, just another left-wing lobby group. They’re about to get a wake up call.

Unfortunately, that's still the problem.

Seniors still get their news from ABC, NBC, & CBS. They, like most of the public, are either uninformed or ill-informed.

Just for a moment, imagine you did not have access to the Internet. Imagine not having a computer at all. Where would your “news” come from?

I wish I knew more conservative women. These whiny liberals that I know are awful hard to take. I try to bite my tongue and not say what I would like to say. Even the churghgoers that I know are pro Obama.
