Oh come on. Where was Steyn when the debt doubled over the last 8 years? Government has been living beyond its means and we have been passing it along to the next generation for decades, and now all of a sudden Steyn has remorse?

The difference being that we who voted for Bush were shocked by how he behaved when it came to spending. Those who voted for Mr. Obama are getting just what they were promised.

I agree Bush started the “stimulus spending” and Obama now has a blank check to spend. McCain would have had a stimulus only he may have directed it it to his political interests. McCain would have raised taxes. It is his idea to tax health benefits. The GOP is no different than the DNC. Just different special interests.

3.27 Trillion over the next ten years. And he has done that in his first 60 days on the job.
Bush spent like an absolute miser in comparison. And none of his spending was on vote-harvesting organizations like Acorn.
