Just a hint:
Try to get some Cable TV advertising.
It is not terribly expensive, and the public is not always aware that they saw the ad on Cable rather than Network TV.
“The medium is the Message”
Part of the “message” any candidate needs is that the campaign is SERIOUS!
Do lots of radio, but that is mostly for “get out the vote” conservative efforts.
Also, do some economical, targeted Cable TV>
