And you thought the onscreen catfights on America's Next Top Model were good...
New York police arrested three people following a massive stampede that erupted during a casting call for the new season of the Tyra Banks-powered reality contesta melee that involved hundreds of people outside a Central Park hotel.
At least six people were injured, two of whom were hospitalized, in a scene that left the surrounding vicinity looking like Fashion Week meets Thunderdome and shut down the auditions.
Police said they did not immediately know what triggered the crush of bodies, but according to the New York Daily News, the combination of would-be catwalkers (all under 5-foot-7 this cycle) waiting on line for hours and a broken-down BMW proved combustible.
A fight had broken out among some of the bystanders; then, moments later, the car appeared, spewing smoke, and reportedly led to shouts that a bomb had gone off.
"The girls were running like it was 9/11 part two," 27-year-old Jennifer Brown of, Brooklyn told the Daily News. "I feared for my life."

What is pretty?
Models depicted in magazines present such an unrealistic view of what females should aspire to look like. It is very harmful to impressionable young girls, many of whom end up thinking they are ugly and don’t measure up. It is very sad. :-(
Makes you wish you could hug them and reassure them that they look just fine.
Attack of the Airheads!
If you go back to the cheeleader murders in Texas or watch some of the idiots on some of those Beach Patrol, Ocean Rescue, or Speeders programs on TruTV, you’ll see a lot of narcissism and just plain bad manners. Including a sentence or ticket, I’d commit them to an Emily Post etiquette course if I were the judge.
Then again, class can take a long time to learn.
Come on! Can't we get beyond Thunderdome?
Apparently also leaves more than a few thinking they could be models themselves.
The Amoral masses all share the same collective, chaotic insanity. (Notice how they just throw their trash anywhere below where they stand.)
This is the new face of Amerika, in major trouble.
Cat fight!!
Come on! Can't we get beyond Thunderdome?
You know the drill; Break a Deal, Face the Wheel. Break a Deal, Face the Wheel...
From the Pictures I saw, it didnt really look as if these women were all that pretty.
I could see it” Next On FOX, When Models Attack”
“Fermenting” indeed. Like beer gone bad. Beyond the reaction of the crowd, it’s amazing to see the piles of trash in the streets.
If someone from 100 years ago was given this video and told “here is the future”, that person would figure the worse must have happened; total societal breakdown, lawlessness, disregard for manners or self-control. Oh, wait a tick. That is what’s happened!
Looks like a line for a Rapp Concert!
The 1909 McKee's Rocks Strike was a lot worse; in a two hour gun battle 13 strikers, scabs, strikebreakers, and police were killed.
People need to get over this silly nostalgia for a past perfect world that never existed.
“A fight had broken out among some of the bystanders; then, moments later, the car appeared, spewing smoke, and reportedly led to shouts that a bomb had gone off.”
Terrorists now threaten our most important asset, pretty people. Things have become serious.
Tonight on Fox, “When Models Attack!”
I have a “thing” about lines — I just won’t stand in a line unless it’s obviously very very brief.
When I visited (once only!!) Disney World with my kids, I thought I had died and gone to hell.
So when I see the above pictures of this line, for me, alarm bells would have gone off immediately. The injured are lucky that we didn’t have a repeat of Wal-Mart’s Black Friday sale.
Major, major trouble.
