The Nuge speaks! The good news is, unlike many in the field of entertainment, his words are based on solid principles instead of touchy-feely, warm and fuzzies.

I hope he can help with this fight. Just so, and not just in Texas. However, and it's just a hunch, but I think if Texas were to step up big on this issue, quite a few other states would get off the fence. Would LOVE to see it!

Now we have Uncle Ted on board. This is gonna get real good. Hope so. One thing we can say with some certainty if he chooses to take up the cause, it WILL be loud and WILL get some attention.

Oregon ping......here’s an opportunity to accomplish something in OREGON....a bill HAS been introduced in the Oregon Legislature (by the minority, of course)....however, a huge showing to the LEGISLATURE while it’s in session MAY make a difference....Otherwise, as was told by a recent House Rep....it has no chance of probably even getting a hearing!!! Are we ready to rumble???? For a SPECIFIC reason????

Ohio is taking the bailout money.
Yet, our Governor's web page states the following:
"After Ted Strickland was first reelected to Congress, he placed a plaque in his office with the following quote from Scripture:
And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?Micah 6:8
Throughout his service as a minister, a psychologist, a professor and a Member of Congress, Ted worked to exemplify those simple, powerful words. That same plaque is now in the Governors Office, where those same words guide Ted each day.
As Governor, Ted believes that Ohio government must live within its means....."
I wonder if Ted enjoys his TEA with cream and sugar?

I wonder if Ted enjoys his TEA with cream and sugar? Well I suppose the one thing that can be said about politicians generally and Dims in particular, they're nothing if not hypocrites. Just my suspicion but I think they have been allowed to get away with lying disingenuousness re their constituents for so long it's just standard fare any more.

Who introduced it and what is its number or name? I don't mean to butt in but there's a House Joint Memorial hjm0017 PDF file on the State Assembly's WEBSITE. Couldn't find a date on it, only that it's included in the 2009 Assembly.
