Toomney hasn’t made a final decision yet. I hope he doesn’t run. He’s a free trader (a big loser in PA) and, if I’m not mistaken, doesn’t live in Pennsylvania.
Toomey Can Put Specter Out of GOPs Misery
I am very likely to make a run for the Senate, says Pat Toomey, a former Keystone State congressman and free-market stalwart.
I'd hate to see Specter win in a three way primary. Protectionism reminds me of the 1930s & Smoot-Hawley.
Okay, what did she poll?
Look, there probably isn't 10 cents worth of difference between Murtha and Spector - I'm exaggerating for effect - and what did she do that would lead one to believe that she would be more successful against Spector than would Toomey?
I'm not getting into any infighting among ourselves. I want to know which one will end arlen’s career.
Frankly, I weary of him.
He was FOR running, before he was AGAINST it.
Luksik To Challenge Specter In Primary
TB: While you are mounting a challenge against Sen. Specter, you also may be running against a number of others in the race for the GOP nomination, most notably former congressman and Club for Growth President Pat Toomey. Since Mr. Toomey came close to beating Sen. Specter in 2004, would you consider dropping out of the race should he announce his intention to run?
PL: No.
TB: So is it correct to say that Peg Luksik is in this race all the way to the 2010 primary?
PL: Yes!
TB: How are you a better candidate for both the primary and general elections than Pat Toomey?
PL: I think that you just hit on it. I had a conversation several weeks ago with Mr. Toomey where he told me point blank that he was not running for the senate. I took him at his word, and I had no reason not to. Then the polls came out against Specter, and now it appears that he may be changing his mind.
