Here at the local Meijer stores (We have two in Jackson Mi) almost all of the root veggies like onions, carrots, potatoes, etc that I buy are grown right here in the county. Lots of the cold weather crops like brussels sprouts and cabbage come from here in Michigan as well. The same can be said for apples and cherries.

We have local root vegies also...really good stuff. I shop at a little store called Sparkles-great sales and good stuff. I also shop at Giant Eagle. I have one kid who only eats prima della turkey. I can only get it at Walmart’s deli so I buy that there and that’s it.
