Muskogee - A child rapist has been sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to raping a six-year-old girl.
Forty-four-year-old Vincent Martin LeCompte was charged with felony first-degree rape. As part of a plea agreement, LeCompte was handed a 20-year suspended sentence.
"We feel that justice has been served," Adair County Assistant District Attorney Shannon Otteson told the Muskogee Phoenix. "The defendant admitted what he did and will serve under very, very stringent rules and restrictions of probation."
Otteson says the victim had testified previously three times and that it was like being raped all over again. She says under the terms of his probation, LeCompte will be required to undergo sex offender treatment and he will be restricted on where he can live and work for the next 20 years.
The girl's mother says her daughter is traumatized and is in counseling.
Nothing has surprised me since clinton was in office. This is the sign of the times where the most vulnerable are used and abused and thrown away. Low lifes get away with murder and the victims are left to their own with no recourse. I hope we get our country back.
Varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Having been through this with my own daughter, I understand completely. We agreed finally to the plea deal to spare her one more round of the cruelty that is involved. It is horrific even for an adult. I will tell you that the urge to just take care of it myself was enormous —— didn’t happen but only because my daughter needed me at home
No. These monsters need to have their fingers, elbows, and knees shattered and pulverized by a sledge hammer. I draw the line at having their eyes sewn shut permanently. I am mellowing as I grow older.
How can a defense attorney defend such a POS and then go home and sleep at night. And no he/she wasn't just doing a job. He/she could have refused the case. It (this pronoun may be more appropriate for such a subhuman) had a choice so that makes it a POS as well.
Honor killing would target the victim. ROP justice is backwards.
