This is a pdf. file so I cannot post it here. It has interesting things to say, but the self contradictory paragraph is this one:
Mexican law enforcement authorities and soldiers face heavily armed drug gangs with high-powered military automatic weapons. Perhaps 90% of these weapons are smuggled across the US border. They are frequently purchased from licensed US gun dealers in Texas, Arizona, and 7 California. AK-47 assault rifles are literally bought a hundred at a time and illegally brought into Mexico. Mexican authorities routinely seize BOXES of unopened automatic military weapons. The confiscation rates by Mexican law enforcement of hand grenades, RPGs, and AK-47s are at the level of wartime battlefield seizures.
I smell either a Venezuelan or, more likely, a People’s Liberation Army intelligence smuggling operation.
Best,
Chris
So, when was the last time any of us was able to walk into a gun store and buy an AUTOMATIC rifle legally? What a crock
Venezuela has been acting as a channel for illegal drug imports through Mexico, and I would imagine for weapons as well. The Soviets, er, Russians, and the Chinese have been sending Chavez plenty of arms. I don’t know about these in particular, but I seem to remember Russia giving him a huge shipment of AK-47s a couple of years ago. Enough to arm everyone in Venezuela, as I recall.
Yes, I just found one article on it. Rumsfeld wants to know in 2005 why Venezuela needs 100,000 Russian AK-47s.
“Machine guns and hand grenades?” Well darn it, my Walmart seems to be all out! Amazing the distortions, misrepresentations and outright lies the media is willing to tell in order to advance the cause! Hundreds of machine guns purchased at local gun stores... Unreal. But, of course, typical leftist tripe.
Pinged some others who might be interested....
So this is connected with West Point in some way?
Guess what? I DO NOT care. My constitutional rights are granted by “Our Creator”, they are carved in stone, and NOT alterable because Mexico thinks they cause harm down there. I’m sure the Red Chinese don’t like my right to free speech either.
Use another way to fix Mexico, but read this slowly McCaffrey. “Don’t tread on me”.
The Obama statists, and guys like Holder and McCaffrey, really do not think they can go too far. They will move against our guns soon. This is the only reason these stories are everywhere for the last few months.
Its a drumbeat. We better heed it. *First* line of defense, congressmen.
I know when I'm low on hand grenades or need a new RPG or fully automatic AK-47 I just pop into my local gun store for more. /S
Well, when they stop sending their illegals, we'll stop sending our guns!
There's another flag we've shown them:
The only possible solutions are (1) a cordon sanitaire, completely closing off the border, or (2) taking it over and cleaning it up. I vote to close the border.
Ping!
bookmarking for reference.
I smell the tri-border Hezbollah too.
Drug cartels' new weaponry means war
**************************EXCERPT INTRO**********************
Most of these weapons are being smuggled from Central American countries or by sea,
Ol’ Barry is quite a character. He ordered the massacre against a five-mile line of orderly retreating Iraqi soldiers and did it two days after the official ceasefire went into effect. The numbers are unknown because the corpses were buried quickly by the tank-dozers. Both sides knew there was a cease fire but McCaffrey couldn’t resist shooting fish in a barrel while he had the unparalleled might of force at his fingers. This outdoes the infamy of Union Civil War Colonel B.J.Sweet’s at Chicago’s Camp Douglas and approaches that of General Sherman’s policy of destroying everything any Southern civilians in his path needed to survive.
Then we have McCaffrey: Drug Czar. “Well, you know, we shouldn’t argue about facts. They’re either facts or not facts. We ought to argue about conclusions. The facts of the matter are, if you look at the US counter-drug budget, it’s primarily focused on enhancing prevention, education and treatment.” He went on to make sure that more taxpayer money went into busting low-level dealers than prevention than his predecessors. Fine, fine man.
Then he went on to be a “consultant” for HNTB Corp. in their push for a Trans-National Corridor, lobbying for a relaxation of sovereignty so the poor countries South of our border can have easier trade access all the way to Minnesota. That involves a thousand mile strip of six lanes walled off everywhere except for designated exits and onramps - a huge scar across the middle of our nation for the sole benefit of others countries. What a patriot - especially in these times.
Sarc off - I say put him in his old uniform so he’ll be a real twinkly dancer.
