Not aytall bad, if I may say so.
BTW...my dad was a tail gunner on a B-24.
That 24 was one workhorse of a BUFF -- did one helluva great job.
But, I'll tell you one thing -- I'sm sure glad I didn't fly in them. Too high,too slow,and the missions were too long to have to put up with rubber-smelling oxygen while at altitude. Those masks stank to high heaven.
If your Dad is still with us, please give him my salute and best wishes. I was very happy in my A-20s and A-26s -- fast, flew darned near like a fighter, were heavily armed, and could take a real beating -- as still get you home. I had my fun with the Ninth Air Force in Europe.
PS -- What Theater of Operations did your Dad fly in -- Asia, Europe, Africa????????
