Are you all aware that there is a website that you can log on to www.Blueservo.net that allows you to monitor several different WebCams situated along the border?
You can register to use these and are encouraged to report anything suspicious that you see via email to the Border Patrol.
This means that thousands of citizens can provide vigilante services from anywhere to assist in keeping the the border secure.
I've signed up, it feels good to be contributing and to be poking a finger in the eye of the Open Borders crowd.
I encourage you all to do the same.
So if I see some illegal doing some illegal stuff, I can call the Border Patrol, who will do nothing about it?
Cool.
I would much rather be out there armed to the teeth, but of course that won’t happen!
I'll call a foul on that one.
Border Patrol Agents are out there 24/7, working the borders, tracking illegals and capturing them.
Border Patrol Agents have had dozens of direct confrontations with the Mexican Army on the US SIDE of the border. (Actual count of Mexican Army intrusions over the past ten years runs about 200 times).
Border Patrol Agents are work-horses out there and a vast majority are working along the SW border. Most of them live in small border towns (no amenities and no easy living), and those that live in civilization (for family and school reasons), they face up to 2hr commutes each way, on top of a 10-12hr day (or more).
Border Patrol Agents put in overtime as a matter of course and don't complain.
Border Patrol Agents are out there doing a dangerous job and do it quietly with no interest in press coverage or applause.
Border Patrol Agents are working in the most harsh physical environment where temperatures daily go well over 130 deg—and they are out tracking on foot (some on horse-back) like the cowboys did a hundred years ago.
Border Patrol Agents are working in the most hostile environment where back-up can be hours away and they have unreliable radio coverage, and drug smugglers are now fighting rather than dropping their loads.
Border Patrol Agents have been targeted by drug cartels.
Border Patrol Agents are routinely attacked by mexicans on the mexican side of the border (google “rocking” and “Border Patrol”).
There were roughly, what, 4,000 agents a few years back to cover our entire border. Today, they are reaching their goal of 16,000 agents to provide better coverage, but no matter what, they can't be everywhere.
I suspect your post was in error and meant to point a finger at the awful DHS leadership and the president, not the Agent on the line, putting it all on the line.

Thanks for the link.
No problem...just doing the thread poster a favor. It’s an interesting site.
Ping!
That's not true, I've called the Border Patrol to pick up illegals many times. The longest response time was about 30 minutes, and that was back when they were totally overwhelmed. Usually they are there in 5 minutes or less.
Correct. I meant the overall border protection apparatus. Not the specific agents, who I think try.
Their hands are tied.
No worries.
I went there and it said I need a “plugin” for my version of Media Player. I’m using Vista with version 11 of WMP.
Every option I see at the plugin site costs money, and the two aftermarket options are CyberLink and Roxio. Anybody know which plugin I need?
I hear ya. I meant the overall border protection apparatus. Not the specific agents, who I think do try.
Their hands are tied.
THEY know.
