That's unacceptable. Bush had his chance to close the borders and he knew the southern border was a "problem" for the entire length of his regime. The proper and acceptable question is What would Theodore Roosevelt or Ronald Reagan do?
That's what I was hoping people would think about. Of course, the answer to my question is, "Nothing!"
