True, after 911 it has been standard practice to be more mindful of the safety of presidential successors, and both Republican and Democrap Speakers have enjoyed private transportation ---- but
Pelosi is the first to assert that she can't put up with a refueling stop on the long flight to California. Hence the need of a bigger, totally wasteful jet. She should be given the option to pay the difference in cost for the 1/2 hour she saves.
