It wasn't supposed to happen this way.
The Obama Administration and Congressional Democrats have been pursuing a strategy of tying elected Republicans to Rush Limbaugh, concocted in hopes of painting Republican opposition to the Administration policy proposals as extremist. ...
The conservative radio host, and liberal scourge, reports that his ratings have nearly doubled since Democrats began their campaign to marginalize him. Revenues are up as well. ...
Things are so good for him right now, even the White House has to admit its attacks on Limbaugh are becoming "counter-productive." ...

Looks like his Rush strategy is working about as well as his Market strategy.

1) Libs always overplay their hand.
2) They are pulling this kind of bozo cr#p with Limbaugh while many Americans' life savings vanish into thin air.
Don't think for a minute that people aren't paying attention.

Conservatives, usually civil and ready to engage in reasoned debate are getting Pissed (And I am one of them).
The rub is, there is an overwhelming sense of having been hi-jacked.

I must admit I wasn't paying much attention to Rush, since I had long ago grasped all his theories, but now I'm completely glued to his work. The man is positively an oracle... a modern day Stentor.
(In Greek mythology, Stentor was a herald of the Greek forces during the Trojan War. His name has given rise to the adjective "stentorian", meaning loud-voiced, for which he was famous. Homer said his "voice was as powerful as hundred voices of other men")
Amen.

This would be a good time for Rush to plan another “Rush To Excellence” event. And another bake sale wouldn’t hurt either.

Far from driving GOP candidates away from Limbaugh, the Dims have made him the Party’s figurehead, and are driving the politicos TO him!

“The reason the Left has been so successful against us, is because they never give up.”
having 95% full-time, 24/7 overt support from all US print and tv media helps too. They get to frame the debate, decide the questions, marginalize those who say things that are too potentially popular, etc.

"Rush Limbaugh is what pushed me over the line into conservatism in 1998. I betcha he can do it for others too."Rational thinking can do the same thing.

I have never listened to Rush, but I think the dems that bring up one a radio guy are really aiming in the wrong direction. If they had any sense it would be all about the real solutions on the economy and nothing about the LIBERAL agenda. That’d be a smart thing for them politically, and a smart thing for this country.
But what do I know!?

That was fun, the bake sale I mean.

Even those who attened our liberal brainwashing centers (universitites) would not sit well if and when socialism/communism really took over. Even though they bitch and moan about the "system", the "establishment", the socio/commie style of government would take away enough of their American style of living, that even they would be balking. Exactly. I've encountered far too many of those cotton brained liberals who take their freedom for granted to such an extent that they cannot even begin to imagine what life would be like under one of the "ist" forms of government they so love to promote. I'd love to send them to live for a while in one of those systems.

If The Zero doesn't finally get a clue on how to solve the economic crisis he will be facing at least a very Republican House of Representatives in January 2011. How about dumping Secretary Gaithner and put a real adult in charge of the Department of the Treasury?

While I am not overly optimistic about the degree of reverence the majority of “my fellow Americans” have for freedom, I can almost agree with your point that “we” don't know how not to be free.
While the political socialist left has been busily building a vast constituency of undereducated, government dependent missfits and leeches...there exists a surprisingly large number of people,of all walks of society, who not only know the answer to “who is John Gault”, but also the coordinates of Gaults Gulch.
