Charles Freeman is a career diplomat, a Saudi apologist, and a savage critic of Israel. He also argues that Beijing did not strike down the Tiananmen Square protesters with sufficient swiftness. Barack Obama proposes to make him head of the National Intelligence Council. It’s an abominable appointment.

I guess we could take heart from the fact that, as Nixon’s chinese interpreter in 1971 he must be getting kind of old. Trouble is, evil has a way of prolonging some lives, as weird as that seems.
I have a neighbor who was AT Tiananmen during that time...I think he would slap down this Freeman idiot.

Yay! Now the US can have ITS very own Tienanmen Square and he can show us “the right way” to run over protesters with tanks! (What was that thing about people being able to present a redress of grievances... oh right, we’re not part of the “in-crowd” and therefore not really ‘people’.)
This appt. is most troubling as oil is reaching 50 bucks again and the Saudis now with full Obama support are making their moves against Israel—.
