While we’re all rejoicing at the demise of the liberal newspapers; I was thinking that with fewer outlets, the media will be easier for the Left to control.

I guess there might be a downside to this.

Especially if some in the media start getting Buyer’s Remorse about the Obama nightmare.

They can’t write about it if they are unemployed.

First of all, what kind of employer tells a group of 170 competitive journalists that they're about to lose their jobs, then picks about 20 of them to stay employed in an online-only project (including, apparently, David Horsey), then throws the chosen back into the general population, and then lets that stew of jealousy and resentment simmer for a week or so?

Oh, I dunno, you stupid socialist. Perhaps an employer who cannot afford to pay 170 "competitive" journalists?

Perhaps the employer wants to make you live up to your "competitive" credentials?

Good news.

Every time a traitorous MSM outlet goes under, another angel gets it wings.

Amid all this clatter of departure, those who were assigned to work the Sunday shift went about it with little fanfare, just doing their job, just trying to report the facts, as usual.

Yeah, if they had actually been doing that, they likely would still be doing a robust business. But it's not really about "facts", is it, PI? Good riddance.
